Origin of Digital Community Asset

Web 3 technology is here and growing in popularity. What is web 3.0? I’ll be writing a blog post to go over more detail but essentially, web 3.0 is a decentralized version of the internet where data and transactions are open to everyone and users can own their content instead of relying on a large corporation to host it for them. A simple, real world example of web 2 vs web 3 would be the equivalent of buying a house through a bank (web 2) where the bank owns your house, but you get to live in it and call it yours… but if you fall behind on your payments- they can always take it back. Web 3 would be buying a house in cash, owning it outright. The house symbolizes your content, crypto assets, and any data you put on the internet.

Web 3 is gaining traction due to the rise of crypto currency investors, NFT users, and lack of trust in social media platforms. Businesses see this trend happening which is why major companies like The NBA, Adidas, Visa, Apple, Facebook (or meta, whatever they go by these days) have invested billions of dollars into this new technology.

After talking to smaller business owners, I’ve found that they want to be involved in this new wave of technology, but the demand just isn’t there to justify implementing a full web 3 experience for their customers. Which is why I’ve decided to find a way to bridge that gap between web 2.0 and web 3.0 with what I refer to as web 2.5.

I’ve set out on a mission to show companies how to bridge the gap between the old world of web 2.0 and the new web 3.0 technology to capitalize on this new trend without having to turn their business operations upside down.

I don’t claim to be some guru who is going to fix your problems. What I am is a seasoned professional who’s been working with large retail businesses since 2014 with their sales and marketing. I’ve had a front row seat since then to watch how the retail shoppers interact with businesses, and I’ve realized… something has to change. For too long businesses have used the same practices to attract customers like discounts, BOGO offers, running ads online, etcetera- and the consumer is growing tired. While the majority of customers may not know about or be ready for web3 technology, they are looking for a new way to shop and feel connected to the places they give their hard earned money to. Because of this, I’ve set out on a mission to find the next new innovation.

I realized this was a problem when I was sitting in on a meeting with one of my customers recently. They had over committed to some inventory and were trying to figure out how to move through the excess. Sounds like a familiar and common problem, right? That’s because it happens every minute of every day… but what if there was a group of customers that were so engaged with the business that they were CLAWING at new and exclusive merchandise that was for sale? What if excess inventory went away completely because there was such a demand for the product, that there had to be a waitlist to purchase? What if the product or experience that was offered was wanted by so many customers, that an auction had to be held to give this to the highest bidders? What if you had a community of people who were invested in the success of your business and you could sell them products or experiences at a premium that they specifically asked for? That sounds like a world that I would want to take part in. And that’s what I’m going to show you how to create.
